Think your pets are safe from diseases carried by ticks and mosquitoes here in the Pacific Northwest? You might want to think again. Pets in King County are listed as moderately at-risk for a number of infectious diseases, including Lyme and heartworm disease, according to data from the Companion Animal Parasite Council (capcvet.org). Come learn the facts – and how you can protect your pets in this discussion led by veterinarian Dr. Jennifer Schori. Her talk will be followed by some interesting fun facts about companion animal health, presented by her husband, Ian Parker, a long-time expert in the animal health industry.
